Waldwick Band is excited to Welcome Josh Jenkins as their new Director

WALDWICK, N.J. – Joshua Jenkins, director of bands at Ramsey High School, is the new conductor of the Waldwick Band, becoming just the third conductor in the ensemble’s history, which dates to 1954. He succeeds Edmund A. Moderacki, who led the band through its summer concert season before stepping down.

The band was founded as the Waldwick Fire Department Band and reorganized in 1968 as a community band, and it has remained a fixture in Bergen County ever since. Today it is a volunteer music organization supported by the borough of Waldwick that performs roughly 20 free concerts and parades a year. Its members range from high school students to retirees, and its library holds more than 2,100 titles, including Sousa originals from as early as 1891.

Joshua will lead the band in their winter concerts starting in November.
